The marquee Pac-12 game on Saturday, Sept. 24 will see UCLA host Stanford from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. It can be seen in primetime to conclude the day’s action.
Stanford comes into this game ranked No. 7, with a record of 2-0. They somewhat struggled to get by Kansas State in Week 1, but defeated USC in the next game without much of a fight. The Cardinals haven’t gotten much out of the passing game in either contest, but are still led by potential Heisman Trophy winner, Christian McCaffrey. He has 298 yards and three touchdowns so far. The junior’s best 2015 rushing performance actually came against the Bruins, where he tallied 243 yards and four touchdowns. Could there be a repeat?
UCLA came into the season as a top 10 team, but faltered to Texas A&M in Week 1. They’ve come back with wins over UNLV and BYU, though, to get things on track. However, Stanford will be a road block if they want to make this three in a row, given the problems they gave them in 2015 (56-35 win for the Cardinals).
Quarterback Josh Rosen has produced in yards with 917 in the air. He has as many touchdowns (4) as interceptions, though. The sophomore’s completion percentage is only 60.5 as well. If Stanford’s defense can limit him, then UCLA may be in for a rough evening.
